BOUXBART™ BRINGS ART, HEART & A LITTLE “TITILLATION” TO MCKINNEY
McKinney, Texas — Join BouxbArt™ creator Darlene Leiker for an afternoon of art, music, refreshments, and philanthropy benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Guests will have the opportunity to Meet the Artists, purchase on original BouxbArt™ paintings, and enjoy an afternoon celebrating creativity and a meaningful cause.
BouxbArt™ (pronounced “boob-art”) is an impressionistic painting technique inspired by the beauty of nature. Created by Leiker in 2012 as a playful way to “titillate” her husband while he was working abroad, the idea soon took on a much deeper purpose.
“Yes, I paint with my breasts using non-toxic acrylic paint,” Leiker explains.
Ten months after beginning BouxbArt™, Darlene's mother underwent a mastectomy, and Darlene, herself underwent a partial mastectomy. The experience transformed her playful artistic experiment into a mission of giving.
“I decided to use them for ‘good’ while I have them,” Leiker says.
Today, 100% of proceeds from BouxbArt™ paintings are donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, supporting groundbreaking breast cancer research and helping advance the search for better prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
The afternoon offers an opportunity to enjoy remarkable art while making a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.
